So my landlady showed up yesterday with papers for me to sign and struck up a conversation with me,we actually talked for quite some time.Turns out she hates what she does, and she is under a lot of pressure from the actual owners of this property. They want things a certain way and she has to do all the dirty work. She asked me a lot of questions about going back to school. She is 47 years old and she also has a 2 year old, yikes!I didn't argue with her,I just told her that I wasn't a dishonest person. She said she was going to give me the phone number of a company that she gets her flooring from, she said they have the best prices. It was an odd turn of events, but the papers have been signed and hopefully we will have a better relationship in the future.I am learning that it is better to have peace than to always want to be right.I just want to move forward and have peace right now.
Sometimes the best way to handle a difficult person is to befriend them and show them you aren't going to hurt them. I just got done trimming neighbor's big bad brambly bush and I told her that if she didn't mind, I would start treating my side of her yard as if it were mine. She's older and unable to really do much and it just grows weeds of the thistly variety and they are trying to take over my yard as well. so better to approach it with a "what can I do to make things better" attitude eh? She's happy I'm going to do it.
wow 47 with a two year old! maybe she would love to have some friendly support in her life.

Lovely update to a painfully uncomfortable situation - thanks for sharing yet again how the program works when we work it!
Thanks for coming back with the update - it's so good to hear a follow-up with a better ending!!
