information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
In typing "serenity" today I made a typo and typed "serentity" instead. After I looked at it a monet I thought of the long discussions many of us have had lately about Higher Power -- "What is it? Do I have to have one to recover" "What if I don't believe in God?" etc. It came to me as I looked at this typo that serenity as an entity -- a living, organic, changing and connecting force -- is sort of how I see my Higher Power. So when I feel like I'm "on the beam" -- on the right track and resonating well with what in need to do, who I am, and balance and peace within me, I think I will think in the future, "There's my serentity."

WHOA!! That's killer. I'll have to add that to my "Get Atheists to Al-Anon" tool kit.
To me God is the Collective which acts as an entity. But before you get into it, you're not aware of the power of the collective or who comprises it. It was a hard hump for me to get over, obviously.

For me, whatever helps us realize that there is a great good - a larger picture - a power beyond us which pulls/leads us - that's what 'it' is!!

I also like the metaphor and it works for me because that is how HP worked it with me. My HP can and does use all forms of entities to get my attention and teach me what is necessary to gain and maintain my serenity. The entities are numerous and have many forms...I'm blessed with being able to recognize them when ever they make their appearances...often times they are reminders only that HP is abiding with me. (((((hugs)))))
