Hi all. Needsome "been there done that " thoughts. I have not seen my alc husb since friday morning. Its now 6:00o saturday eve. He was with a buddy, i guess last night, if i believe him. This morning, not home. Had a text at ten saying where he was and hed be back soon. Ive been unable to reach him by phone or text all day. Yes, this gas happwned before. . I no longer worry. Im just ticked. But, my daughter is worried and now doesnt want to go anywhere until we know where daddy is. Do i lie? Make something up? I just want to go for a bite to eat. Just to pass time. grrrrrr

All I know, is that you need to eat. I would probably just say "I am not sure where daddy is right now, but I would like to go to have a picnic together at the playground". Or something like that.
Maybe teaching her that life does not revolve around daddy's choices is a good thing?
We certainly have a way of letting our A's control our moods, and our fun, don't we?
Wow. I haven't been in that situation and I'm sorry you are dealing with it. I was trying to think of anything helpful I could offer and couldn't didn't know what to say. Along comes Saucy! That sounds like a very good, direct, "stay in the now" answer to me. Hope you can find a way to soothe your soul. His choices are a reflection on him, not you.
Not to make it worse, but you really don't know when AH will come home. There is no need to be hungry, waiting, and "stuck" waiting for him to show up or communicate. I think some mother-daughter time together will be good for both of you. <3
Hi Stephene I know you realize that you are powerless over this disease I do hope you took a positive action for yourself and daughter.
The truth might help Daddy called and is fine he will be back later.
