Well .. I went ahead and let my XAH know he has the kids on Monday for Memorial Day and he's not said anything .. it is always up to the kids if they want to go however he needs to reach out to them.  Now what he chooses to do with that information is on him. 

I'll be honest this benefits me far more than him.

He's already told the kids that he is busy on Sunday he's working .. that's his choice.  My son is has previous engagements that we made last weekend.  My daughter her last day as a sophomore is actually today.  So I have a Junior.  LOL!!  I can't believe it!!

Anyway, it's all good .. it's just no longer on me.
