Grateful today.

We had a very chilled out Mother's Day.

Daughter kept things quiet this morning so I could sleep in, which was bliss after staying up late to meet a deadline. When I woke she had cleaned the lounge and taken out the rubbish as well as beautifying her room and putting away the washing. She'd bought me a gift with money she earned and also drawn me an awesome picture to go in a frame I had been saving for just such an occasion

We mostly stayed indoors and did our own thing; it's been a real hurricane outside the last week or so. Later when the weather calmed down we took the dog for a walk, delivered some papers and then went op-shopping and took our time trying on everything. I found a really nice skirt, she found an outfit for this year's halloween party. I'm sure she will change her mind between now and then but who cares.

We cooked a nice dinner, watched some TV together. Simple, chilled out, no expectations.

What's not to be grateful for? I think it's actually the nicest Mother's Day we've had.

Happy Mother's Day all
