Are the 12 steps for Al-Anon that exact same ones that AA uses?

Pretty dang close there are a few change up on the words however the idea of the steps are the same. It's all about rigorous honesty and self discovery.

OK, thank you. I'm getting the idea we're not really supposed to tell others what to do but the 12 steps look like they are really going to be helpful to me SO is it ok to encourage A daughter to do the AA 12 steps?

Since we are powerless over others and many a person end up doing the opposite from what is suggested,. You can certainly share what you are doing and how the Steps and meetings are helping you and let her know that AA has the same support for alcoholics.
