to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Can I just say that out of everything I've learned so far, this concept or slogan or whatever just makes me laugh at myself. I'm not sure what I find so amusing but I have found myself repeating this in my internal dialogue and giggling about my prior futile attempts at controlling people, places and things.
When I get the urge to offer my opinion without being asked or I've started ruminating on something that is completely none of my business, I just say to myself, "Kim, he has a higher power, and it ain't you."
This has given me the most freeing feeling! I'm so thankful I am FINALLY learning a new way to live.

Spot on Kim! My Sponsor pounds this into my head with frequent reminders. It was such a big relief to learn and embrace the fact that I'm not responsible for the choices or behavoirs of others. I'm powerless of people, places and things evolving around me. It was like I carried a backpack full of bricks in the past. It wore me out! Then the zipper let go and the bricks fell out. I had a new freedom, happiness and a useless backpack.
