Dammage from Throwing up

Hello! I was a mamber on here about 14 years ago. Obviously, he is still drinking!!! Anyway, he has an appointment for an endoscopy on Wednesday because of years of throwing up the morning after drinking. He would go outside and do this sometimes almost every morning.no Of course he always blammed it on what he ate the night before. I just found out the other day that he has a persistant sore throat now. He drinks every day, at least 1/2 a 5th of either Black Velvet whiskey, or (what I call) Housewife boose Vodka. You know, the kind you can get at the grocery. As soon as we hit the door after work. (so he doesn't drink at work)  And he drinks this streight, with a chaser of pop! Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with this? I am wondering what kind of dammage he might have. (cancer, ulcer, etc) Obviously, we will find out from the endoscopy (which he thinks is pointless) but I am just curious.

Hello tired of it-- welcome back. As you know it is impossible to diagnose your husband's condition without proper medical tests. My husband drank a quart of scotch every day for over 20 years, and found sobriety in AA six years prior to being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. The doctors attributed it to drinking. I will hold you and your partner in my prayers.

Hello and welcome back!

I don't have any experience with this myself, but I hope that the doctors are able to help answer your questions.
