C2C 4-11

The C2C reading for today speaks about the power of the Al-Anon program. It points out that spirituality is an important part of our recovery, and without spiritual help .living with or having lived with the disease of alcoholism is too much for most of us.

The page  goes on to state that the Steps, Traditions and Concepts all serve to put structure and design to our lives in a spiritual fashion.

 I love the quote that says:" Al-Anon is the light that helps me find my way in the dark.".

The reading goes on to point out that no matter how long we are in Al-Anon and working the program we still have the right to have problems, to cry and to make mistakes and not know all the answers. It suggests that the amount of time we spent in Al-Anon is less important than what I'm doing with that time today.

And the quote is:" I don't resort to Al-Anon, only to learn to live with active drinking. It is my way of life, and increasingly rich and rewarding life, as I learned to use the program in depth"

This is a great page 2 meditate on.

These are great priorities to live by! I love the quote especially, it's true, my wife is no longer active but I still learn something every day from Al Anon and MIP.

Al-anon and my faith in HP, definitely go hand in hand for me.  There are times when one cannot always find the answers/solutions, especially when it comes to Alcholism, my faith in HP is so important and Al-anon has become a way of life for me, for sure!!  Thanks Betty and love your new photo!!!  {{HUGS}}
