Hi callie usually you can find a sponsor at face to face meetings.

In alanon at the end of a my meeting they will ask if anyone wants
To be a temporary sponsor please raise their hand. After its over
you could ask someone that raised their hand.

Mostly i think people just wait and ask someone they think would be
A good role model and fit. There are no simple ways and people can
and do Change sponsors.

Callie there is nothing to be afraid of you only just need
To sit and listen. You do not need to say a word for how
Ever long it takes you. Just say pass! It is a program about
you getting Better and how to learn the tools to live by.
Loving detachment And good healthy boundaries are two of
them. Anything That helps you be safe and sane in your journey
to emotional And spiritual health with the help of your higher power.

You sound like a strong young woman that knows she needs
help As we all do dealing with the disease of alcoholism. It is
Too much to do alone.

Alanon meetings are about us and your qualifier is your Alcoholic.
The talks are about us and keeping in our own hula hoop not others.
There is much to learn if you keep And open mind.

Its really a spiritual program of self growth from the effects
Of alcoholism. There are many to hold your hand on your
Journey. Reaching out and attending ftf mtgs breaks the isolation
the disease causes.
