hard to get into that morning routine when A husband is laying in bed hungover

Ok I really dont mind my son being home for school vacation. Dont need to get out the door 2.5hrs earlier than I leave for work to get him to the bus. However when I come downstairs and A husband is hungover in bed (we sleep separately) it really grinds on me! He calls in sick alot on Fridays. I cant get in there and go about my morning routine. I need to get myself ready to get my body to work. Feel like I need to be quiet, do things in the dark, etc etc.

Anyways - I'll try to have a good day - at least its Friday

I have had exactly this issue, and I agree with leo - go and do what you must. If the situation were reversed, you know that he would not even give it one thought.
If you really can't stand the thought of the upset this would cause, then take what you need out of the room before you go to bed at night - assume that you won't be able to get in, in the morning. This is actually what I do - my husband's sleeping late no longer has anything to do with hangovers, but with his work schedule.

I too can relate as I too used to "tip-toe" around while my A slept with a hangover.  As the others said, you do what YOU need to do, and if there is some noise OH Well.  Then I started to go about my business as needed, I did not make noise intentionally (maybe sometimes when I was real angry), but if I needed to vacuum , or do laundry etc or even mow the lawn which made noise, I did. This is what we do,,we seem to revolve around the A's schedule, and do everything in our power to not upset the A, but when mine slept til noon, I too had a life and needed to get done what needed to be done. Once again you do what is right for you.............gardengal

I agree with the others; don't tip toe around him. Flip the lights on, make noise and don't give it a second thought. I'm sure when he comes home drunk and you're trying to sleep, he doesn't give any thought to the noise he's making. I would be tempted to be really noisy, but that's my little way of getting even (I know, I know, not mature). Good luck and have a great weekend.

Tippy toe around the place for a hung over drunk???? I don't think so... Do what you want to do, and don't worry about the noise you make. Diva

I agree with what the others say. Why should you tip toe around and be quiet because he is hung over?

I would go about my business, make as much noise and turn on as many lights as you need to.

If he was real hung over, I think I would have to vaccum and wash the curtains and let the wonderful sun into the room, before I left for work.
