Three years ago (wow, already) my Grandfather passed away on Feb 17.
He was the most special person in my life!
The last time I talked to him, he called the day after Valentine's to wish me a happy valentine's day. I was seperated from the alcoholic in my life at the time.
When I corrected him, saying that "Valentine's was yesterday", He didn't miss a beat, and said "It wouldn't be so special if I phoned yesterday would it??"
So forever more, I will always think of "pops" on Valentine's Day.
12 years ago on Valentines Day the doctor's told us my dad had terminal cancer. At the time I thought how horrible to tell us on such a day of Love and Caring. Now all these years later I remember the man who's love and caring never waivered. It's nice to know that now!
