Keeping it simple/moving day

Hi ((((((((((((((roomies))))))))))))),

I make no claims to this piece of wisdom. It came from my daily email from todaysgift@hazeldon.org. This seems to hit home as the meetings and chats we seemed a little overwhelmed this week. Thought it could help us all:

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS:

Some days my life feels so confusing and overwhelming that I think I'll scream.

Sometimes life is like moving from one place to another. When I move into a new house, it is unorganized and chaotic until everything gets put into the right place. In life, my emotions and thoughts are often like the new house full of boxes. I am learning how to unpack one emotional box at a time, throw out what I no longer need, and put what I do need in its proper place. It's a hard job, but it's all part of the process of taking my life back.

When my emotional work gets too hectic, I will remember to keep things simple, to deal with one box at a time. Eventually, I'll get through the craziness, and everything will be in its rightful place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I hate to move and unpack and yet I want the comforts immediately. But I found out that with trusted friends and family, I can get the job done much easier. It always feels much better.

From my home to yours, Happy Unpacking!

Live strong,
Karilynn

Wow, this daily reading described exactly how I was feeling today while driving. I couldn't explain the feeling but when I read this, it seemed to click.

Wow - this is just great!

My nana said when I unpacked after a move to make sure I placed things where I wanted them because I am less likely to change them (or want to) once they are neatly in the cabinets.
I suppose there is comfort in having things in their rightful place. Hmm.
For me this post is a wonderful example on 'letting go' Thank You for sharing it.
wishes, tea2
