Delusional

He is drinking very heavily constantly now.  He has become delusional.  He is accusing me of cheating on him (which I am not) but if he doesn't knock this stuff off, I may start just to give him something real to complain about.

Is this a normal progress of the addiction that their brain cells become so pickled they become both violent and neurotic?

I think they do become paranoid yes.  I have not been around that many people in the end stage but I think the anti social stuff gets much much worse.

Don't do something that will hurt you just to get back at him - take care of yourself.

My A has accused me having an affair w/ anything female.  Her sister, the neighbors, my coworkers, my cousin, the mom's in my cub scout den.  You name it, I've supposedly done it.  hahahah

Here is a really good one.  She accused me of poisoning her coffee.  The HAD to be the reason she was in such poor health.  She drinks coffee everyday.  Never washes the pot.  One day my aunt and uncle were coming to visit.  I scrubbed the coffee pot.  I mean would company want to drink out of a pot that you can't see what's in it?  LOL   "WHY ARE YOU WASHING THE POT?  ARE YOU AFRAID YOUR GOING TO POISON YOUR FAMILY?"  omg.  She even went telling all of her friends and sister this.

Not much I can do about it.  My A starts making sense I just laugh it off anymore.

I definately think the abuse damages many brain cells.  They just seem less and less normal as time goes by, and then they try to convince themselves and us that WE are the ones that are not normal.

ALCOHOL/DRUGS DAMAGES BRAIN CELLS!!! Didn't we all learn that in school at one point?!?

In my experience it is certainly normal.

Yep, this disease is progressive.  The best thing you can do for both of you right now is to take the focus off him and put it on yourself.  This program helps you learn how to do that.
