My A husband has been gone atleast 6 weeks and hasn`t given me any money.Has seen the kids 3 times for ten minutes.One day he will call me and say he loves me,the next I`m a b***c and he wants a divorce.Then I wont hear from him for days.when he comes over he picks fights with me and makes me miserable.He called this morning and wants to come over and give me 200.00$...that wont even pay the gas bill.I told him he could drop it off with the kids(i would leave until he was gone)That wasn`t good enough.I said he could get a money order and mail it..that wasn`t good enough.So I told him to keep his money...was I wrong?
My A has been gone for 2 months (out of state!), wants a new life and doesn't want to be married anymore (after 16 years and 4 kids) He got a new job out there, after he lost his other one from a major life threatening binge, and is blowing money, not paying any of his bills, or sending me any money. I've decided what's best is i don't answer his phone calls or call him, or text him or anything. It makes me able to go on with my days. In the mean time, I'm going through social services so that they can do the orders for child support, since he can't seem to do it on his own, I had to get food assistance and help from family. Maybe you can check into getting some help from your state to?
Thanks for the advice.We also have 4 kids and have been married 18 years The way they think is so distorted..I`ll never understand.I guess we just have to take care of us and our children.
I guess I am a practical soul. I would certainly take the money. Don't let your pride keep you from feeding yourself and the kids and paying the bills. JMHO. Diva

Which was better for you and your childs well being? That is the answer and only you can answer. If the BS that would have been endured wasn't worth the $200 is only a decision you can make. :)

I would also take the money unless him coming over is dangerous for you and the kids and the agro not worth $ 200. He sure should contribute. At least he wouldn't spend it on booze.
