I am in a bit of a bind ........ I don't have anyone to watch my kids to go for the moment to any F2f meeting, there for I am looking for a sponser. CAN ANYONE HELP ? that would be great. Thanks.
Just wanted to let you know that I have the same problem. I am trying and really want to go but seems impossible right now. I will say a prayer that a door will open for both of us.
I understand where you are coming from. I live in a small city. I have to drive to the BIG city for an Alanon meeting. Someone suggested I bring my children. I was a little hell bent on "no, not around this".
After a few meetings, I noticed people do bring their children and it was no big deal. I have brought my four and they color or play quietly. They seem to even have a good time. They like to see where it is I am going as well. Plus, to the older kids.....it seems to help them as well.
As far as a sponsor goes. Talk to people, find out who you think would best for you. Someone to make you get back on the horse? Someone to comfort you? When you find a person you think would do well in helping you, ask them. They may tell you no.....they more than likely will not either. Talk to anyone you can and get their experience, strength, and hope.
