I grope around in the dark for the light switch that will illuminate unconditional love within myself.
Butting my head against the struggle to surrender.
It Feels as if my journey may be long and painful,
with a bit of stumbling and falling, before I find myself on the proper path to enlightenment.
My soul bruises as I bring life's illusions out of the shadows.
Only for my heart and soul to glow with each tough gained surrender.
My voice echos.............. "I am willing"........................, 
and........... faintly I think I hear.............
 "You are worthy my child". 
And that is enough for today.

Lovely words. They describe where I am now. I want to love myself and put myself at the top of my to do list but it seems my whole life I have put myself last. I wanted people to like me so I gave away lots of myself but now I want them back. Thank God for Alanon. Thank you, I really like this, it will go into my 'Alanon wisdom' word doc.x
