Yesterday I had an experience that I believe had more than a little HP message in it!
After a not so pleasant visit from my drunk A husband yesterday morning, I was sitting out on my back veranda having a coffee, replaying his visit in my mind and arguing with myself to "Just let it go".
A butterfly caught my eye. This beautiful little black and white creature was battling a strong breeze as it flew along under my veranda. He was flapping his wings so rapidly, would go off direction suddenly with the wind and then come back on course. It was as if I was watching him in slow motion!
For some unknown reason as he made his way closer to me I put my hand up, he was still ducking and weaving in the wind. As this butterfly got really close to me - he landed on the palm of my hand! He sat for a moment or two, open and closing his wings, I imagined he was catching his breath, and then he took off out into the yard, over some shrubs and out of sight.
I was totally amazed that he landed on me! And then it dawned on me!
His battles in life were parallels to those in mine (ours). A gentle reminder from my HP that we all get blown off course from time to time but that the important thing is that we keep working at it, a little at a time.That we need to take time out to appreciate the beauty of what surrounds us each and every day. And take the time to care for ourselves.
This little butterfly bought tears to my eyes and put things back into perspective for me. The power of such a tiny creature is amazing!

Thanks for sharing this. I find that I get signs/symbols/messages in Nature from HP very often. The tiniest things have such intelligence, we lose sight of a lot when we are caught up in the abuse we suffer in.
I believe we are here to lears about what it is to love/God ~ to me it's all the same thing. Loving myself a little bit more each day, it is a new experience for me. Nice of you to share, sounds like you had a cognitive shift in perspective.
When I went back to alanon, I went to the first F2F mtg & got a coin, the back has a huge butterfly on it. I took the symbology to mean that we are free from other people's problems & that we are in new states of transformations to come.
