My husband got paid today, but it wasn't enough to cover the basic expenses. I did not even have enough money to buy laundry detergent and toilet paper. I am so down, depressed and worried. husband's boss said they won't be working until after the new year so he won't even have another check coming in. I have to return my laptop to Rent-a-Center tomorrow and maybe try to get it back after the new year. I am going job hunting tomorrow. I thank all of you for everything and you all are in my prayers. happy Holidays. I will continue to work on me and continue to try to make progress. Tomorrow morning will be my last check in.
Don't know if this works where you are, but here the public libraries have free internet access - you can only get an hour at a time, but it's nice for just checking in. I use them a lot when I am travelling, also even sometimes at home, when I don't feel like being at everyone's beck and call, and don't feel like hearing "Can I get on there?"
Powerless do you have some agencies that can help you make it through at least the Christmas period financially? Really think going to the public library is a good idea at least that way we will know you are okay and it may help you a little with the depression around you. Please take care and I wil be thinking of you. Luv Leo xx
My prayers will be with you and your family, I know how that feels to worry about finances, it is not fun. I pray that you will be okay. Try to find a way to post to let us know how you are doing. Take care
I so love reading your posts - hope you will find a way - all of the above sound positive, here, we have internet cafes, they charge about $2 an hour, but the libraries are free. Also, whilst you are unemployed, ask about free access - some places have access for unemployed people.
This too will pass. I know how bad it feels when finances are tight (not that they ever as loose as I would like!). You have lots of things going for you, maybe you underestimating yourself a little.
This is a difficult time of year for many people - but, amazingly, we get through it. It is only a short space of time, and, people are so much more valuable than presents etc. Dont be lonely. Reach out. Call someone, maybe your call will help them, the program works in a funny way - some of the best help I get is from people calling me!
