What a diffent experience

Hi to all, and a belated Thanksgiving Wish...

We all had such an enjoyable day yesterday.  My A has 18 sober days!  This is the first holiday since I can't remember when that he was sober.  He actually ran to the store twice before 11am yesterday for me.  LOL

My mom had a rather rough day, missing my father, he's been gone since 94, they were married for nearly 49 years!

I was somber in the morning, missing my son that is in the AirForce but then I reminded my self that he is still state side, he has a wife and the kids, he is safe, and I should be thankful for that.  I did get to talk to him more then once...LOL and he has figured out how to receive pictures from email on his phone, so I got to share with him.

I feel blessed and am grateful for each day.  I am very thankful for what I have learned about myself in the last year.  I hope that each and everyone here found something yesterday to be thankful about, with that you can begin to act as each day is Thanksgiving, even with the crisis and drama of our lives there is always at least one thing to be thankful for.

Hugs Mary

Thanks for that ((((((((((Mary)))))))))))) & ur right, we have our health & we are together (plus one returned cat) I was so relieved - I didn't care about anything.

Neat that ya'll can share pix w/ each other.

The A was "allowed" in yesterdaay, when I got up he was ACTUALLY helping prep veggies!  I asked him he hated me yesterday, he sd, "no" but then that seemed to run him off, back into his lil apt in the back.

I'm so happy for you, that u had a real day with so much love.  Your post made me well up, just wanted to thank you.

love, -K

p.s. that is wonderful your parents were together for so long! What a gorgeous story of love....

I personally believe that my mother's mom is my guardian angel & that our loved ones stay with us, even though we can't see them, they are still here - yes I believe in Angels.

Mary,

Hehe. I just asked how your days was, I guess I should have looked first.

I am so glad you had a good day. LOL, my "A" did the cooking, so it was me running to the store.

It is good that your mom has you. Wow, 49 years that is so wonderful.

You did a good job of helping yourself when you were thinking of your son. By remembering that he is still here in the states.

Mary, you are doing so well.

Much Love,

(((((((((Mary))))))))),

Glad your day was as nice as mine. Mine too was a bit somber when I was cooking and thinking of my parents who are gone. But they are always with me. It's so nice to have the memories of sober holidays. I can finally look back at the day and say with pride he was sober. I hope it continues for your husband as well.

Live strong,
Karilynn
