Its been a month, and grieving process is starting. Just - this is hard. My expectations were in the way , naturally. I have to come to terms with making long term plans. This seems like an unsurmountable task. God has made me strong, sometimes I resent that. I feel like curling up in a ball...
Baby steps Angie.... Remember, God also created you so that you can choose your way of dealing with different situations in different ways, so if you think you need a day of "curling up in a ball", then perhaps you need just that...
The cool thing is, our programs are consistent, whether the A is active or not, whether we leave or stay, etc.... The concept of ODAT is still VERY relevant for you.... Try not to get too far ahead of yourself..... Just make it through this day, or this hour.... for now.... Things will get better, and your head will become clearer, as you work your program....
Take care
Tom

You're doing just fine. It's okay to grieve for what was once. Give it the time you need to heal. Making and going through with such a big decision was a very brave act. I'm proud of you. None of these things get fixed in an instant. Healing is a long, slow process that shouldn't be rushed. Don't ever let anyone tell you differently.
May your new home be filled with love, peace, joy, laughter and happy, happy memories.
Live strong, Karilynn

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
It is okay to grieve, and if you want to curl up in a ball, then just do it. You and your family have been through so much and taken such a big step. As things start to slow down, of course you are going to feel it.
You are human, allow yourself to be. Allow yourself to grieve and let your HP take care of you.
Yes God has made you strong, and yes sometimes we can feel resentful about that. Sort of like, why do I have to be the strong one. We as human beings are vulnerable and cannot be strong all the time. Even though you have so much on your plate you are not expected to. Sit back, breath and feel your feelings. It is time to baby yourself a little.
Be gentle with yourself. Feel your emotions, this is what I have learned. Acknowledge them, feel them, and they will pass. Some days you will feel like cocooning, that's okay too! Hang in there, one day at a time, sometimes one moment at a time.
