Boundary Guidelines & sayings

Everytime I attend an on-line meeting, I get another quote or saying to add to my list that I kkep reprinting & sticking on walls in my condo.  I also keep a copy folded up in my prayer book.  So far this is what my inspirational page has on it: (& due to the anonymity of our great Program, I am not giving any credit to where these quotes have come from).

Let Go & Let God Attend to the Divine Plan.

"Let his name be erased" (from the Jewish faith, regarding acts of evil or evil doers themselves)

VI Guidelines for Setting Boundaries

1.  Have clearly defined expectations.  2.  Have clearly defined consequences that do not disrupt your own serentiy.  3.  Set them clearly.  4. Communicate them clearly.  5.  Enforce them with consistency.  6.  Without regard for the relationship, releasing any expectations.

Say what you mean & don't say it meanly.

QTIP - Quit Taking it Persoanlly

GTS - Getting them Sober (club)

First Things First - Love Yourself First

Easy Does It

One Day at a Time

Live & Let Live

But for the Grace of God, go I

THE THREE C's - I didn't cause it, I cannot control it, I cannot cure it...  conversely  I can change myself, I can control myself & I can cure myself.

Progress not perfection.

PhD:  Patience, Peace, hope, happiness, Direction, Determination

HALT:  hungry, angry/anxious, lonely, tired?

FEAR:  Future Events Aren't Real

Let the understanding, peace & love of the Program work in you each day.  Take what you like & leave the rest.

You cannot expect different results without different actions/behaviours.

Do not listen to the praise or criticism of other's as both will throw you off of your course.

You know your own body (& mind) better than anyone else does, trust yourself.

 Just for Today

1. I will use my Program.  2.  I will be good to myself & relax.  3. I will be unafraid.  4. I will be grateful.  5. I will appreciate myself and others.  6.  I will be loving & kind.  7.  I won't critisize & will work on myself.  8.  I will tackle this day & this day alone, leaving the future where it is.  9. I will study & strengthen my mind.  10. I will stretch & strengthen my beautiful body.  11. I will meditate.  12. I will be happy.  13.  I will love myself, truly & gently. 14. I will attend meetings on-line regularly.  15. I will surrender to God (daily, continusously if need be).  16. I will commune with God in prayer.  17. I will praise & thank God.

Hurt people, hurt people.

I refuse to be co-dependent anymore, the abuse stops here I will continue to work on breaking the ACOA patterns that I grew up with.

thanks for allowing me to share!
