May the Great Pumpkin rise out the pumpkin patch and bring you lots of goodies. Have a wonderful day with the children and passing out candy and just having fun.
Be careful and safe tonight. The World War I Flying Ace will be protecting you. (I've never figured out how Snoopy could get a doghouse to fly! Not a bad idea with the cost of gas these days.)
My black cat and I wish you a day filled with love and fun. Remember even though we're all going through a great deal, it's okay to let our hair down and have a fun. Keep the child alive in you.
Boo! Live strong, Karilynn

I thought the Day of the Dead was on November 3, as that was when friends and I always observed it. It's about rememberance as well as honoring their life and ours. We usually cook their favorite foods, and visit the graves. A way of saying thank you for your gifts of love and guidance and to remember the good. If I'm mistaken and have offended any one, my apologies.
Live strong, Karilynn

El Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of life actually. It celebrates the fact that we live as long as those who love us remember us. To build an altar and evoke the palpable memory of the departed is a ritual. It's serious, deep stuff. November 3rd is the official date. Diva

I just came back from watching my little Power Ranger in a parade this morning. In a few minutes it is off to another school to see my little Ninja in a costume parade.
Conner is being a monkey (very fitting for the little stinker!)
The kids have so much fun, and they love to trick or treat. My bigger kids like to take the little ones out. They are too old to go themselves(according to them), so going out with the little guys gives them an excuse to dress up and have some fun.
Sadly, my kids' school doesn't let the children dress up for a parade or parties but my little Witch and my Little Batman will have a blast tonight trick or treating around our neighborhood. I love watching them go door to door and seeing all the other little children's costumes too. They are all so cute!!!
Happy Halloween back at cha!!!! Every year since the boys were little I wanted to give out little treat bags, ya know with a couple pieces of candy and a toy? They were so fun to get when I was a kid!!! So this year I MADE THEM! LOL We should get about 20 kids, I made 60 bags!!! But I realized as tough as things get I can still have fun!!!!
Unfortunately I don't any have any children. My black cat wouldn't put up with being dressed up except for red collar. So she is now sporting an orange one! I'm going to take friend's boys out to walk the neighborhood. Their Dad has to pass out candy, as Mom's in bed with the flu.
I decided that this year, I would wrap up a few homemade dog/cat treats(in the shape of pumpkins) in bags and take them along with me. That way the animals won't feel left out to. The little guy I'm taking is going as a a basset hound, and the other a giraffe. Can't wait to see them.
The weather is beyond perfect! Give all your kids extra hugs for me. Have a blast!
I wish it were dark now! Karilynn
