Blame it on me weekend!

Good morning to all of you!

After reading Jeannie's post, I got to thinking about laying blame on others. You know, "everything's your fault, not mine.."

Well I decided that for this weekend, and this weekend only all of you out there have a 1 time, limited opportunity, special offer (do I sound like an infomercial?): TO LAY THE BLAME ON KARILYNN.

Here's the deal:
Whatever goes wrong this weekend. Be it you burnt the roast. Your A is driving you crazy. The sun didn't come out again. You put 2 different colored socks on. You got your hair colored, and instead of brown they made it purple! You think that you can't go on for another second living the life your living (you can by the way). The Eagles lost (oh that was last weekend). You got a flat tire. Whatever the issue, whatever the circumstance. No matter how trivial you think it is, you get to blame it on ME! Yep, that's right! Blame it on Karilynn. When something you don't like happens feel free to say: "It's all Karilynn's fault." Feel free to say that in any form you choose.

Here's the catch:
Once you've said it, you move on. It's done. I've taken the burden off of you for this weekend. It doesn't mean that you can use to it to runaway from things (trust me, I'll know). You face it, deal with it, and move on.

I've used this at work when the tension has been so bad that you could cut it with a knife. The employees are allowed to go up to a manager (or whoever we've designated that day) and say "It's all your fault."

So roomies, I've had my coffee (decaf) and I'm ready for whatever you throw at me. I'm a strong woman, so bring it on!

Have a good weekend all. Be safe, be well, be careful.
Live strong,
Karilynn

P.S. This offer expires Sunday night at 11pmEST. I have to go to work in the morning. So if something happens on Monday we'll have to find someone else. Any volunteers?

Okay Karilynn normally I would blame the full moon this weekend but if you want to take it on it sounds good to me.  Now I need to synchronize times with you for when I can actually let you off the hook.  It is 9pm Western Australian time at the moment what does that work out to in your time zone.  Have a great weekend and I will volunteer for a roster next weekend.  Thinking of you with love.  Leo

Leo,

It's 9am here. I think we can figure this out. My A use to work in Australia and we could never quite get the timing down right. I'm guessing your 12 hours ahead! But in 2 weeks we go on daylight savings time, and fall back an hour. What happens then? I'll leave the math to you.

Live strong,
Karilynn

Hi I know we are definitely ahead of you.  Is it Saturday morning there ? It is Saturday night here.  As for 2 weeks time we will worry about the maths then. Leo

TY Karilyn

I am in palm Springs on business this week.

Today will be very very difficult

My team was in training yesterday and it went slowly. Sometimes they did not listen well to my direction.

We will have 3 new people, local technicians starting today.

I will keep to myself that everything that goes wrong is your fault.

But it will give me a secret relief and a smile and relieve me of the burden.

Thanks so much for volunteering and I hope you are ready for ALOT of blame :)

In recovery

Megan

Karilynn, this is ALWAYS the way to handle everyday life. I don't blame myself for what goes wrong, but I do face it, take care of it, and go on. No need whining over what is done and cannot be changed. This morning I missed the garbage man. Darn! I hate it when that happens. But short of chasing him down the street screaming, "WAIT!!!", I figured, "What the heck! He'll be back again on Wednesday." Silly analogy, I know, but life's too short to take every disappointment too seriously. People who do that are miserable and usually drop dead before they should.

Good for you! Way to go. Best, Diva

Karilyn you made me smile. That's a great idea.

I don't blame so much anymore. I hear people I work with saying they're having bad weeks, days, etc. I'm serious when I say my A has reserved Friday (EVERY Friday) for his bad day. Too much!

Two days back I had an opportunity to have a bad one. A big box of yogurt opened up as it fell from the top shelf of the fridge, dropping gloop on each shelf and on all the vents at the bottom of the fridge. yuk. Then I locked my keys in the car at work. The keysmith was 2 hours late and tried to charge me $200 even though the dispatcher said it would be $55. (I ended up paying $77.) I had about 10 hours of these events. Now each was the result of my own actions. I thought I'm going to do that better from now, on but I'm not going to let it steal my day. I felt I was standing at the edge of a swirling pit each time, and I didn't want to get sucked in. I felt in danger of getting lost, and I just stayed on peaceful ground.

That was a good day after all. I enjoyed my presentation at work, and I cooked myself a good dinner once I got home. It felt like a transferable skill for detatching with love with my A. I will take it in any form. I will encourage it within myself. It's an attitude. Thanks for your reminder.---Jill

Karilynn

Thanks for the smile :)

Now much as I would love to oblige, I am not that mean. It would not be fair to dump all of the blame that my MIL puts on me onto anyone else. I mean I am guilty of EVERYTHING, from the human condition to world hunger in her eyes. I think she would love it if I was one of those clown blow up dools she could punch.

I don't accept the blame ussually anyway. I pretend I am holding up a mirror and the blame bounces back on her.

Have a great weekend.

                      Love Jeannie
