I feel wonderful

I think I will be offered the job I interviewed for on Friday.  The District Manager called me ysterday and asked me to come in today for the second part of the interview.  She has already called all of my references and wants me to take a management aptitude test.  I am feeling better emotionally, more stable. The kids grades are improving because I have had the time to really work with them.  The house is clean because, again, I have had the time. The children have enjoyed that because it's less chores for them.  My daughter was accepted on the track team yesterday and joined the after-school Spanich Club and she is only eight years old.  My son, who has severe mental illness, is fairly stable right now.  I think my being home has helped him. My husband has not actively used cocaine, meth, crack, pills or alcohol and has not smoked weed around the children. I am starting to feel more positive and reach out to friends.  It's amazing how many people consider theirselves my friends, I had thought I had only one.  I pray today that each of us find peace and contentment in our day...even if only for a few minutes.

What a great positive share.  It's so nice to see when someone is truley benefiting from this program.  It's easy to tell, because their shares are about themselves, not the A.  Pre program, whenever someone would ask me how *I* was doing, I'd respond with a rundown of every little detail that was going on in my A's life.  I allowed how *he* was doing, to determine how *I* was doing.  Who's fault was that?  Mine, of course.  I didn't even realize I did this, until I got a sponsor and she pointed it out.  Then once I became aware of it, I realized just how often I did it.  Slowly I began to change that.  Finally, it got to the point that when someone asked me how I was doing, I told them.  Sounds silly, but it was a change I needed to make within myself that I didn't even realize.  Thanks for sharing!
