You need to feel the sadness, frustration, and all the other feelings that you have. It's okay to feel them, when we live with people of addiction we tend to bury those feelings. I made a major decision over the weekend, I think I should have done it years ago, but when talking to someone in recovery he stated that we do things when we are ready, when we are supposed to. Hope this helps.
It just shows you how powerful the addiction is and how powerless you are over it. No matter what you do it will take on a life of its own. Thank goodness you are taking care of the kids. Your higher power has a plan for you.
don't look backward at what you should have done when. It is a losing battle we fight with our selves. Know that your HP has a plan and things will happen when the time is right. I am so sorry to hear you hurting. Take care of those kids and yourself. Jeanne
