Ok.. Well I have to get a lawer so that I can stay in the school that I am in because the school district that I live in is really bad. Well anyway I think that ny grandparents will have to adopt me in order for me to stay in my school.
When I heard that they might have to adopt me I felt kind of heart broken. I dont know why, maybe because in the back of my mind I thought that every thing would go back to normal is a few years. I am happy that I am not livivng with my mom and I am very thankful for my grandparents. I just feel really sad about it, its hard to explain.
How should I be feeling? Is the way that I am feeling now ok? I am so confused.
What you are feeling is "so normal"...you are your Mommy's baby no matter how ill she is...so why would you "want" to get adopted?...Your grandparents want to do what is best for you and if adopting you means you get to stay at your school, that will be wonderful...it doesn't mean your heart has to stop loving your Mom or that you are not her baby anymore. Sometimes we have to do things to keep our lives going on the right path...even if it makes us terrible sad....it really sounds like you are on the right path....love and hugs...T
Your feelings are absolutely right on. I had to stay separate from my husband a few years ago and live with my sister so my son could go to a good school so I understand.
I know it may seem like forever, but your HS days go so fast. Enjoy them hon and you keep on loving your Mom. You have to do what is right for you.

The adoption is more than likely for legal reasons so that your Gran and Pop can have your best interests at heart and sign things for you whilst Mum is sick. Let them love you. You will always have your Mum's love no matter what. She carried you for nine months and gave birth to you. Adoption will not take that away ever. For now Mum is just a lost soul but she is still yours. Thinking of you sweetie.
