Just drop'n in...Stressing Dr. checkups!, Necessary Time Outs!

Hi,  Haven't been on Board for a while.   Reached a crossroad in recovery where my "inner voice" was screaming at me and so was my soon to be "50" year old bod in November.   Took time off from the boards, then skipped my 2 alanon meetings last week.  Was able to hear my inner voice telling me 3 different things about how to proceed in recovery.   [Geez, which one could be right?]  Got them quieted down and I believe I have the answer now.   : )

Then my other crossroad was with health issues, nothing major I don't think, just minor stuff that has to work itself through over time.  Only thing, my doc says come back in 2 weeks, 2 months.

mmmmm....Well....let's just put it this way........MY COME BACK (intuitionally) says SOONER, DOC ! !

So, I have scheduled my appointments, my way, my time.  And it is working.   Sharing my Experiences,  cannot stress enough the importance of great communication with doctors, etc.  So easy to miss health stuff when pre-occupied with recovery.    And so easy to NOT hear our inner voice until it starts to scream!  I think we can get so busy helping new alanon members, serving, our recovery that we are just too busy.  Sometimes too much of a good thing can be too much.  Take what you like and leave the rest.

Wallsal55,

It's good to hear from you. I'm glad your program helped you through your daily life. We do sometimes get to busy to even realize that something might be wrong and we need a time out. Then after a time out I forget to get back to my program until I hit a wall. I hope you made it back before you hit the wall:)

Welcome back, we missed you

Whitie
