It was a busy weekend, I am glad to be back at work where I can slow down just a bit. (Blessing) I ran and dropped of children (blessing) here and there Saturday morning and then We had a funeral, (My A's best friend's father, I had posted about earlier), the fellowship (blessing) , barbeque (blessing) , and I went to the 5th Avenue in Seattle (Broadway production) with my mother (blessing) , Saturday evening. When I was just about to drop my mom off at her house my A called. We chatted for a bit, it was 11:30pm, he called just to let me know he was home and safe (blessing) (JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE THEM FIGURED OUT) he was proud of the fact that when I left the barbeque that he did not get wasted (blessing). That he and his ex in-laws (blessing) had a long conversation (blessing). They are the most wonderful people. They both have a very calming demeanor.
Sunday I awoke to the sun beaming into the bedroom (blessing). I did some things around the house early, and went to water the garden (blessing). I met up with my girlfriend and we did a side job (blessing). Worked for 3 hours and will get paid for 5 (blessing), then off to my mother's (blessing) house. I did some little chores to help her out and my girlfriend trimmed her hedges. Then off to another girlfriend's (blessing) house to drop off a couple things I had for them, (old pre pay cell phone) then to my in-laws (blessing). They had a barbeque for my father in-laws birthday. It was so very nice, most of the family was there (blessing), they had finally got their pool up (blessing) it was so hot. My oldest son and his family (blessing) even showed up! I got to play with my son's girlfriend's little boy, (blessing) he is three!!!! We finally got home around 6:30pm and there was my oldest son again, more playing with my little boy!!!!! (Blessing) Off to bed (blessing) at 8pm and asleep by 8:30pm. My A made it feel like we were a family (blessing) all weekend. It was truly an enjoyable weekend (blessing)
I am practicing my attitude of gratitude today. I have so much to be thankful for and thought I should post when I am content also. I loved the theater with mom, (my one thing I did for me) and got in the pool yesterday and played (my one thing I did for me) I want to be able to count my blessings everyday. This weekend I am truly grateful that there was no drama and I didn't have to search for what I was grateful for.
Thanks for sharing, it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I am glad your husband was able to share it with you. Gratitude is a great way to notice the many things we do have to be thankful for, thanks for the reminder!
Thanks so much for sharing that the way you did ...pointing out so many blessings in an ordinary day full of life , where so many folks not lucky enuf to have a fellowship would never even notice
I loved the way you shared it ( blessing ) :) I had an incredibly blessed day today as well ... and I have found my gratitude journal to be one of my favorite tools to happiness
