The definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
My "A" and I have been having a stressful week, and not really noticing the toll that was beeing taken on us. We had a celebration on Friday that concluded the stress filled week. Last night I mentioned that I wasn't sure that he was even going to make it to the celebration, and he asked me why, and I told him because he has been very angry and closed off this week. He goes it was just stress. And I asked him why did we live through a week of ugliness when some comunication could have stopped it. And he said, because that is what we always do. UGHHHHHHH!
Sometimes I wish he would just talk to me! But he won't. I understand why, I really do. It is all apart of the disease. I get that. My part in the insnaity? Trying to get him to talk to me, and if I would have jsut let it go, my week would have been a whole lot smoother. It wasn't a bad week, but it wasn't great. And if I wouldn't have participated in the insanity of our disease, then my head wouldn't be spinning.
I just needed to get this out! Get the words out to help complete my thought.
Thanks.
Much Love

One of the first things I learned when I came to alanon was that I was living with insanity.
Living with an alcoholic is living with insnaity and chaos.
That helped me to free my mind from trying to figure out the impossible and working toward the possible, towards what I could control, towards a better life.
keep coming back,

If you want things you never had you need to do things you have never done
That is great that you could learn from the experience! Maybe next time you'll remember earlier and you will have abetter week as you said. Good job working the program!
