I use to dread the quiet times, when my A is not being so crazy. I use to wait for the other shoe to drop. What crisis is next? After the drama filled weekend, the hurt, the disapointment, the doubting of the HP plans, I found that last night and today are quiet days. The difference is I am not anticipating another crisis. I am using this time to re-focus on me. My daily meditations and what plans do "I" have when I go home tonight from work. This is a huge change for me. Just wanted to share.
Thank you for sharing your happiness with me :) We do need to keep reminding ouselves of all we are grateful for. I am so happy for you! Wishing that more happiness and serenity are with you everyday. cdb :)
When times were really bad with my A, I used to keep a gratitude journal. I would find at least 3 things I was grateful for and write those down every night before I went to bed. It was a good way to shut off the negative ramblings of my mind and focus on the good stuff. Sometimes the only good I could find was my comfortable bed! But that's okay...there are some who don't have a bed.
It has cooled down here in Indy...last week and early this week in the high 90's...now in the 70's...love it...went for a walk last night with the dogs and my recovering (this week anyway) alcoholic husband.

That is so great and I am happy for you. I do this also, mainly before I am falling asleep. I thank my HP for the good things about my life. It really helps to relax me. Thanks for sharing.
