the graditude alphabet

Hi all, s.o. gave me this idea.  Instead of spending hrs. on the pity pot, which I do too often, I say my graditude alphabet.  Goes like this:

a for alanon, b for book (managed against all odds and with the help of good friend to get book off to publisher on time), c for church (belong to a really fine, caring international community), d for dread and denial(otherwise never had the opportunity in time to grow), e for earth, f for faith(even if it's sometimes the size of a mustard seed), g for a girlfriend who has helped me a lot, h for HP or hope (take your pick), I for name of a family i know from Nigeria and Deutschland, which has shown me care and love,

J for joy or Jesus(take your pick), K for Kansas(I grew up there),  L for Lake Lotawanna (made me remember Unity Farms, which is on the way there in my home town KC),  M for Malta and Maria cuz that's where my best friend, Maria, is from), N for no,or nein (cuz I'm finally learning to use that word), O for onion (because learning about myself is like peeling an onion), P for name of my occupational therapist (a great help), Q for Quaker (I grew up one), R and T rest and time, S and U for Silent Unity of Unity Community KC  (tel free prayer service), V for victory (which I will soon have), X--?? (Got any ideas?), Y for yours truly (ty Hp for me) and Z for zzzzs, which I will do now.

Gute Nacht

Thank you, toto12

toto,

Thanks for the post and I decided to make my own and share it:

A is for Alanon; B is for Boulder, a town we like to hang out in and eventually would be to move to; C is for chatroom and the community there; D is forever for dogs, because I like dogs even though I can't have one right now; E is for my love of the earth; F is for far out, how I feel when I'm in the Rocky Mountains, which are right at my doorstep; G is for God and all his glory (and also for Ginger, my kitty who sometimes thinks she is God- lol); H is for Higher Power as I myself understand it; I is for intelligence used for good; J is for justice; K is for kittties! (can you tell I'm an animal lover?); L is for love (what else?); M is for matrimony (which I have avoided for the most part); N is for the Netherlands, which I would like to visit someday; O is for Ouray, my favorite little town in Colorado; P is for purple which is my favorite color; Q is for Quaker service which I have been to on occasion; R is for recovery; S is for another program I am in; T is for time outs when I become too stressed; U is for all of U! ; V is for victory in having recovery; W is for all the work involved; X is for the extra time I seem to be needing anymore; Y is for no more yelling in conversations please; and Z is for Zack (my old border collie I had growing up, what an intelligent and faithful companion he was to me).

Thanks!

Dana
