Wondering When...

Hiya everyone,

As many of you know things have been very very busy for me.  Have been wondering for the last couple of days if things will ever get back to normal.  The new house is coming along - although very slowly.  Have many boxes still yet unpacked because I need to paint.  Been to hot to paint and really havent had any time.  Demands of kids activities are running me into the ground these days.  We have dance rehersal tonight, recital tomorrow, and oldest daughters high school graduation on Sunday.  All of this on top of the regular daily activities and trying to make some semblance of my new house.  I know I have much to be grateful for - and I try to remember all of it.  However, I have been feeling so very overwhelmed by everything coming down all in the last 2 weeks that I have turned into the person I used to be.  I have been getting upset over the smallest of things, raging over nothing, etc.  I hate being like this.  And the most difficult part for me is that every time I try and stop my behaviors - they get worse.  So for today I will continue to pray, read, and turn things over and hope that things will get back to some normalcy soon.

I know one thing for certain - I sure do need this campout we have scheduled in July.  I am so looking forward to it.

Thanks all for being there when I need to vent.  It sure helps.

Karen

Karen ((((my dear))))

remember a few tools . . .

first things first - your kids will be grown soon enjoy their recitals and graduation

easy does it - for yourself, don't be so hard on yourself.  It took God 7 days to make the world, what makes you think you can go faster?  (an attempt at humor here) LOL

how important is it?  it will get done, let it go hon.  I used to think my house had to be spotless so much so that I never enjoyed other things because I was obsessed before people came and wasn't there for my kids and then was too tired to enjoy my company.  I am a works in progress now.

love ya,

Hello Karen, Easy does it rings a bell.  what helped me when overwhelmed with house painting etc   was " One Room At a Time"  paint it , clean it and move the stuff in . it really works if u look at all of it its a alittle scarry  bt one room at time makes it managable.  good luck . enjoy the kids stuff, paint will wait .  (hugs)

Don't forget about yourself. Take some time out for you. I have a hard time doing that myself. It will all get done in good time, and it all doesn't HAVE to be done today. So go and enjoy a day for yourself. (easier said than done when you have children I know)
