I have collected (just about every) Hazelden daily meditation book there is, purchased them all at half price.  Also, available new through www.hazelden.com  It's just what I have had to do for my recovery---throw the d--washing machine at it!   I have studied here, with Phil, doublewinner, jo, etc., AA members, open meetings, alanon, aa literature, internet research.   Am standing today, and alive.  The other path was DOWNWARD.

I think I have also read all Melodie Beattie books, but just 2-3 left of hers I have not.  I have had an ecclectic approach to my recovery...and it works for me.  The person I wanted to choose for a sponsor is a man...and he worked his program on his own and with his AA wife.  So, I decided if he can do it, I could try it,too.

Don't really recommend it, but I felt kinda stuck with him being a man.  Then I was going to chose a woman sponsor here, lately....and when I asked her something...she said she couldn't remember one single word I said.   I wonder if she's too forgetful (age) or she meant she wouldn't repeat a word I said.  So, once again, when it comes to sponsor, I am still stumped.   Maybe my HP is telling me to Keep on with what I am doing, just keep on following in the footsteps of that man.
