I am holding up the best I can. I don't know what I would do without this supportive group here! I did call a friend who logged into the chatroom while my daughter was in surgery! Hubby was being non supporitve of me and we were the only 2 in the waiting room at about 2am. So it was nice to connect up with my support system.
I could not reply any sooner to your post due to extreme stress and uncertainty. Sorry about that. Daughter was released today and is doing better. Her stomach is very sore where she had the surgery. They did take her appendix out and it was fine. They really dont know where the infection was but her blood count started to go down and she was released today. It may have been a stomach infection,,,,her dietary habits,,the beginning of a flu,,,etc. They are not sure. But the antibiotics and fluids in her IV helped her and she is smiling and happy again. She is also clean and sober. She worried about having morphine but will process that at her AA meeting she went to tonite. Thanks for your concern sooner! You are a real special person! If I am not around the chatroom, I will keep you posted on the message board. I will busy visiting with my parents. They will be here at noon tomorrow :) :)
