Keep it simple and stay in the moment

Hi Everyone,

I am learning to take life one day at a time, a minute at a time.  What we tell ourself each day often creates our own reality.

I am a clock watcher, and I am conscious of  this trait which negates the quality of my life.  Yesterday, I went out with a friend and I did not look at the clock all day.  SIMPLE, yes for some, yet not for me.  It was a gift for me to stay focused in the moment.

When the teacher is needed, the teacher usually appears, if we keep an open mind.  Yesterday evening a friend called and told me that a neighbour just died two days ago .  He had been at party two days prior, and he was making jokes and feeling well.  Two days ago, he had been in the kitchen with his wife, he got up and went into the frontroom, and fell down, and died right on the spot.  It makess me feel a lot of gratitude for the day that I had just spent, and it helped me to realize that if we live each moment like it is the last one, we give ourselves the gift of life.  I guess that is why we call today the the PRESENT....because it is a real gift.  I know that each moment that I live, and even each moment of suffering that I go through, is bringing me to the right place in my life.

If this post helps anyone, I am happy, and I felt like I needed to share it, because it is really simple.  Staying in the moment and keeping the focus on myself.  As we are told in Al-Anon, IT STARTS BY ME.....SIMPLE YET TRUE....

Love & Hugs,

I am in the process of a lot of letting go and grieving losses and not always doing really well w/ it

my sponsor and i have a big difference of opinion and it ios making me feel isolated and alone

and my so called *best friend* = the same

sooo I am trying to " tie the rope a little tighter and hang on a little longer " Im working so hard to climb out of the hole my A threw me into

people say " you chose it " which makes me feel so SHAMED .... all i did was get married & honor my VOWS as I was raised to do ( sickness and health better or worse) until it became clear he was killing  me

so it really hurts my feelings when people SHAME me with the " you chose it jazz" ya ...I get it already

thanbks for your uplifiting words

gratefully

Fiona

Dear fiona123,

You are very welcome, and I am happy if my words helped you today!!

If I may suggest?  we can have a sponsor, and we can not relate to, or the other person does not relate to us, it may be because there is another person, who will validate, and understand you better.  The HP puts people along our paths to help us to understand what is not clear to us in the beginning.

Please...dear heart, do not feel shamed, because you are really a good person, and you are doing your best.  The answers that you need to find will come to you in time.  Be kind and loving to yourself, because you are doing the best that you can do.  We all have issues to work through, and you need to be gentle, and kind to yourself.  When I think of you....I will think of you in the light of the HP.  Take care, and may God HP bless you, and keep you well.

Love & Hugs
