I talked to my dad today and he sounds good. He is surviving the visit with his brother and his wife,,,,the uncle/aunt of mine that screwed over my son and dad by selling the business out from under my son recently. Thanks for the prayers for my dad's health.
My son is not a happy camper and hubby and I aren't either over the situation with this uncle/aunt. My son is looking for work elsewhere now and the situation about the company being sold out from underneath him has sunk in some more for all of us. My son is continuing to work at the same company for a much lower wage but is hanging in. He was not given a managerial position since the one man gave it to his son. Funny how life works when my son was going to be the new owner and now is just another worker....but he needs to have an income to pay his bills and has maturely hung in for that reason. We three are not so forgiving as my dad at this point. I do not know how we will be in the future but for now we are really angry. My son will be coming home today for the weekend which is good because we are a close family and talk and try to work things out by talking and sharing and just being with each other. My daughter will have a pass tomorrow to come home to see her brother and us too. :) :)
My dad hasnt been able to talk too much to me since his brother is at his house and there has not been much privacy. Dad will try to call and talk to our son tomorrow or as soon as he can so he and our son can process what has happened more too as well as dad giving our son the support and love he needs now. It is nice when family comes together for each other. So again, thank you all for your support and prayers as we went and are going through this situation of betrayal. cdb
cdb, I am glad that your son and daughter will be with you and your husband for the weekend. I hope that you have a wonderful visit with them especially under the circumstances. I have been thinking about you guys and how things went today.
Today's family meeting was rescheduled to Tuesday. I woke up with a headache and a sore throat and asked that it be changed. It was sort of good that we did change it because our daughter tried to rent an apartment today and the renters were not happy with her application. She is currently not working and so I can see why they are not wanting to rent to her. We can now process this at the meeting. She always thinks things have to be done immediately. She has it in her mind that she does not want to live here either. I think she is using not living here as an excuse and I also see her running away from things like she has done for years. So, rescheduling happened to be a blessing in disguise. I am okay, ended up with the sniffles is all. Thanks for thinking of us. cdb
Thanks for updating us cdb... dont always have the opportunity to chat with you in the room and catch up with you on your situation.. so much going on in our rooms these days and so many people telling their storys... sometimes I go in to talk about mine and just listening to others helps me from dwelling on my own... I am so glad to here that you are such a close family and that you all support each other... that is a HUGE plus with all the complications of this disease... Your sons positive attitude and mature attitude is AWESOME.. Good for him... It must be very difficult to swallow going into work sometimes but he is proveing to be a BETTER man by his actions... God will notice this I am sure and in his own way he will reward him for it.. There may be something better in store for him that HP God has in mind...Have a wonderful weekend with your family cdb...
