i do not know who you are, but i was informed tonite that my pic was in the "mip album".  i had no idea how that could have happened, since i have only sent pics to a couple individuals, and didnt know anything about this "mip album", and never authorized anyone to put my pic on it. 


when i checked out the site where the pics are...it's not even a pic of ME, that is listed with my name, search41, under it.  can you please tell me how this pic got there, and who authorized it?  in all due respect, this really feels like an invasion of privacy, and just doesnt seem right.  please understand, i just want to know how this happened, and it's not that i wouldn't mind MY pic being there, but i would like to be informed of it and ok it first...know what i mean?


so, my question is...how did this pic get on the mip album?  and album that i knew nothing about until just a few minutes ago?

a few thoughts on your message-


1- I don't think that this "album" is an "MIP album". It started as a photo album of consenting people who frequent this room, and others, at the same time, and have gotten to know one another. It has grown from there. Most have enjoyed being able to put a face with a name, and I think that the birth of this photo entity had exactly, and only, that in mind. We should be careful of affiliating it with any group within Al-anon.


2- I know that there was no ill intention, and I am wondering if maybe someone else could have a similar nickname to yours, hence the picture with your nick and someone else's face? Is it possible that someone who had your pic sent it to jkc to be posted, for giggles?


I think your frustration is a valid one, but try to be patient. I know jkc, and know that she has been very busy this week. She may not even read your message right away.

unfortunately, the pic is of my family members.  that is probably why i reacted like i did.  my daughter has former in-laws who we do not have any contact with anymore, due to them doing many horrible things to her after her husband, their son, took his life.  if it had been a pic of me on there, i probably would have wondered how in the world it got there, but wouldnt have minded, know what i mean?  anyway, i didnt know how to get ahold of jkc, and i need for that pic to be removed for my daughter's privacy.  mother's can get pretty protective of their kids, huh?  lol!  thanks for replying to me, tho!

thanks jo, you're right!  lol!


but i still want my daughter's pic taken off.  one of her in-law's just called her phone today, and they have never been given her phone number since she moved back here in aug.  i'm not saying the pic has anything to do with that...it doesn't.  but she is terrified of those people, and i want her pic OFF the internet!  simply for her safety...nothing else.  sigh....i know it may seem silly...but she is trying to stay hidden from them...and a pic on the internet isn't exactly private, ya know!  lol!


i think my words sounded more harsh than i felt.  i just don't want her on here, and don't know how she ended up on here in the first place.  i really am not angry at anyone..even though it may have sounded like i was...i just want her off...that's all.  her in-laws robbed her house, tried to break the windows on her car while she sat inside it, took her husband's truck, boat, snowmobile, guns...and put them all up for sale...sent her several evil emails....and they had no right to any of the possessions at all what-so-ever.  they also forbid her to come to her husband's funeral, and had the pastor tell her the same.  the local police finally decided it was a "civil" case, because it's a small town, and they didn't want to make waves with the family that "robbed" my daughter...cuz they are life-long citizens of the community...anyway, i know i'm rambling, but my daughter's privacy is high priority right now...and i was so shocked to see her pic on the internet.  not that they could find her from that pic...and how they got her phone number to call her today is beyond me.  it's unlisted, and only family and friends know what it is.  obviously, the number leaked out somehow. 


anyway, i guess i'm expressing myself on issues that probably don't pertain to the original post...but then again..they kinda do.  i really don't think anyones pic should be posted without their personal consent.

It's all Tahoe's fault!

Yup, It's my fault. jkc has been sending me pictures to 'convert' into a
format that she can use, and to resize/crop as necessary so that she can
post them. I sent jkc some pictures last week for her to post and the
picture in question was added in my email by mistake. I would like to take
FULL RESPONSIBILITY for this and offer an apology to all those concerned. It
was my mistake, not jkc's. Thank you all for your understanding.

thank you so much for replying.  i hope you understand that i was just so shocked to see my daughter and grandaughter on the site.   all i ask is that the pic be removed.  i completely understand that it was a mix-up.  i sent you a bunch of pics recently, remember?  there just must have been some confusion. man!  i WISH i looked like my daughter!  i think she's gorgeous!  anyway, thank you so much, mark, for clearing things up.  i truly appreciate it. and i am sorry for the ....whatever....hoopla!  thanks so much, friend!
