I AM IN SHOCK

Dear Family,

I feel that my job may be in jeopardy. This is scaring me to death.  I work in a chain drug store as a pharmacist. Each store has 2 pharmacists. My former partner was promoted, and has now become my supervisor. When she was my partner, we had some disagreements and she ended up being transferred to another store.

The supervisor at the time realized that she was at fault. After she left, I got a new partner, and he was at my store for 3 years. Then in July it was announced that my new partner would be transferred to a different store, and the former partner would become both of our supervisors.

Today, I got a call from this 2nd partner telling me that he has been fired by our new supervisor. She gave him a very petty reason.

To make a long story short, I am afraid that she has vendetta against me because of our former disagreements. I have given her no reason to fire me. My store performs well, and I have a good relationship with all of my co workers, as well as the patients who frequent our store.

I am asking for prayers, and any words of wisdom.

Thanks everyone,

Claudia disbelief.gif

Surround yourself with your truth. I am learning more and more on the job to go get that personnel policy and see what my rights are. And I am learning to have really strong boundaries at work. Some supervisors seem to be weak minded but have power. Use your HP too for answers.

In support,
Nancy

(((((((Claudia)))))),

I'm with Nancy on this one.  Find out what's going on and what you can do about it.  If you have copies of your reviews, bring them.  I always keep a paper trail.  I also have kept a work diary.  I was put on a 30 day action plan, and every time we had a meeting, I took notes and I also made a copy of what the manager said.  Meanwhile, Pipers Kitty, hubby and I will say an extra prayer for you.  Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty aww

You are lucky it's a big organization - this means there will be a chain of command, and some sort of HR department.  Look into your rights.

Actually, this is good practice at using your alanon principles - set your boundaries, keep calm, state what needs to be stated and don't be drawn into getting emotional.  Also - stay in the moment.  It's good to be prepared, but it hasn't happened yet, and may not happen. No need to be unhappy about it until (if) it actually comes down.

Yes, keep the paper trail, in any situation this is invaluable whether you decide to use it or not, its a horrible feeling, I've been there,

I agree that looking into your rights is very important. If anything were to happen down the road you can always contact that former supervisor who realized that the issues were a result of the other employee for back up. I hope that this person matures and this goes away for you. Doesn't seem like there are an over abundance of pharmacists, maybe there's more to the other story than what you're getting? Good luck!

I know all the ingredients are there but that doesn't mean you need to make the chili.

If I were you, I would take a deep breath, step back and ask myself about making mountains out of molehills (check myself).

Hugs, J.

Thanks so much for all of your input and caring. I did contact my District Manager today. He is also her immediate supervisor. He assured me that I personally had nothing to worry about. He said he was made aware of our past differences by the previous supervisor.

I feel that he would be my advocate in any case. Unfortunately for my partner who was fired, we don't have the same DM. My DM did say that he also thought that there was more to the story than I was hearing.

I really appreciate the prayers. I am so thankful for all of you.

Love,

Claudia

First of all please don't let fear cause you to act in a way that may cause what you fear. I do it all the time.
Second if  you believe in a higher power I believe mine says

" All things work together for those that love the Lord" so no matter what happens it will be for your good!!!

YOU ARE SKILLED, trained and probably very very marketable..next job might be better anyway, have a great day, if she fires you just say thank you and smile better things are comming your way!!!

The best thing to make yourself feel better, even if you never use it is to look at all the great jobs out there! That way if she fires you its just like okay.... next...

I wish I was a skilled experienced pharmacist that would be cool!!

Aloha Cookie!!

Go with the faith, not the fear.  Fear is so related to insanity.  Whatever comes out...you'll be okay.   practice, practice, practice.

((((hugs)))) smile
