I stood up to them

Hi, this is just a little victory for me. My working environment is not the best for a recovering codependant like myself. I'm always trying to make everyone happy with me all the time and failing miserably. Someone was giving me a hard time at work and I just put up with it a dealt with it and turned the other cheek while this person was having a hayday stamping all over me!! Finally I went to the boss lady and told her my version and that I was just going to have to leave because I couldn't take it and she begged me to stay. The bad person has been very nice to me lately in a suspicious way but oh well.
Then they tried to bully me into working on a scheduled day off and I said no way, then they said I would have to talk to the CEO and I said well I'll just have to talk to the CEO then wont I? And I tell you, that bullying stopped right there. And you know what? I got a job interview at a place ten times better than where I'm at. Starting to think I might be worth someting after all!

YAY YAY YAY!  Hang in there girl, and stand up proud and tall.  Remember this:  When confronting or even having a discussion, if they are sitting, you stand up.  Make sure you are higher than they are...even if you have to stand on your desk!!!

Good work.

I think that is so awesome! You deserve to feel good about where you work and to be treated fairly. Sometimes we do have to stand up for ourselves and even remove ourselves at times. Sounds like you are taking steps to do both. I applaud you.

(((((((((((((((RJ)))))))))),

WOOHOO!  You go girl!  I'm proud of you! w00t.gif

I work with a codependent who has no desire to even think of recovering.  I feel bad for him, but I try not to get sucked into his drama.  He's not a bad person and certainly hasn't bullied me, but I can see the old me in him.  So it's a good thing in one way to be around him.  It reminds me that I don't want to walk down that path again.

Pipers Kitty and I are keeping our fingers, toes, legs, arms and tail (Piper's not mine!) biggrin crossed for your new job.  Keep up the great work.  Love and blessings to you.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty smile

I love coming to the board because you get to see your lfie story and all the possibilities. Good for you for standing up for yourself. There is something better for us. I have a crap for work environment. Now, I have to take a good look at what I want for myself.

Keep us posted.
