The A is trying to get a write off on the truck and get a check. He has a court case coming up and wans to skip town. So he has not only destroyed the truck (which I don't know where it is) he has also sold it out from under me for an unknown sum. He plans to move several states away in order to not be imprisoned.

The chickens are coming home to roost and I don't doubt he will be going to jail very shortly.

The issue is I don't know where the truck is. The other issue is that he is totally belligerant and erratic and threatening. I am lucky that I have my pets locked up and he cannot get to my storage otherwise I feel certain he will try to break in there.

He is about to be thrown out of the place he is living in because they can no longer take his erratic behavior.

I had given up on the truck sometime ago. I do not know how this will affect me. In theory it shouldn't as I finished paying tor the truck and nothing is owed to anyone. Nevertheless he has to all intents and purposes stolen the truck and got a check from the insurance company (although when that check is coming is not known at this time).

No one can get a straight word out of him as everything he says is a lie.

I am not allowing him to take the beagle. I simply cannot allow her to go to be a fugitive. One good thing is that as he is running from the law he is not going to do his nomral number of caling the police and claiming I did something to him. He will be too afraid of being arrested.

One thing that I thought of as I was reading your post: In regards to the truck - You say that it is paid off. Is it in both of your names? I don't know about where you live but here in VA, if you get rid of (sell or dispose of) a vehicle that is registered w/DMV, you MUST turn in your tags. If you do not, they will suspend your license. And to get it rectified afterwards can cost $500 or so. I know several people this has happened. Both of whom junked old trucks and threw the license plates away. For one of them, it wasn't until his wife went to do something at DMV 6 months later that she found out HER license was suspended b/c her name was on the truck w/his. It is a mess. Just something to think about.

Sincerely,
QOD

Well he illegally put t he truck in his name so it will not affect me. He is not really thinking in a crystal clear fashion because he is trying to run before he goes to jail. He is not really "sane" at the moment. There are days when I wonder is it worth trying to salvage anything. At the same time I need to monitor when he goes to jail so I know he cannot come after me. I have his tools in storage and he insists he wants to take one of the dogs on his gallavantering.

Luckly for me it is matter of days before the warrants goes out for him. In the meantime he continues to make a colossal mess everywhere he goes. I am no longer even trying to clean it up but nothing but nothing he is doing makes any sense at all. I don't th ink it has all year actually and maybe years before that because I was in so much denial

Mary, you paid the insurance, just call them and tell them the situation. this is insurance fraud. that money is yours. Plus he cannot do anything legally as the truck is in both your names.

I am proud of you my dear. You have a backbone now. It is amazing but no surprise, you are becoming.

Will it get cold where you are? Are you ready for it?

Yea I bet he will try to get  into your stuff. Hon he is desperate now. BE careful, keep posting so we are not concerned. I care about you lots. LOTS.

love to you and the kids, debilyn

He certainly is desperate and some of what I am hoping is he will just take off across country to his freinds. He has a suspended license. He got a new car so I believe he sold the truck and got a settlement from the insurance company. i have people at the house I am staying at. He would be crazy to try to break into my storage unit as there are people there all the time. The unit is right in the front right out in the open. In addition he has nothing to break into it with.

I have no doubt he'll start living in this car now and move across country because he is terrified of being arrested. I am going to wait for his court date and see what happens with that. He has a week left before the trial and he seems pretty certain he is going down for a long time.

I never though I would be at a place where I saw that his vanishing would be the best thing for me. Nevertheless it is. One of my dogs is particularly anxious so I will ask peoiple to keep an eye on my place. There is no way he can break into my house as there are people there all the time and he's already been warned.

I dont' see him doing anything but running at the moment. Running is his only insurance against being arrested.
