I mad ah mad.......Shoe was on the other foot.

Rather you agree or not I had something done today that I've wanted for a while. I got my belly pierced (fourth time due to pg's). When you're pg you have to take them out so I got it put back in now that I lost weight.

But...............while I was there I saw the cutest little diamond studs for a nose piercing so I did it. I called ah and heard what he thought and he was so mad!! furiousHe said DO NOT DO THAT! furious

Here's the way I figured it, I asked him to not drink, to come see his kids, to put money in the bank, to help fix the house and he never did.

So I got it done, for ME. I spoke with him later and he is irrate. I find it hysterically funny. I told him "it's MY body and it's what I want and I did it" I really think it's cute. It's very petite. So now he's not talking to me.
I guess when the shoe is on the other foot they don't like it much. I guess he hasn't learned the first step, you can't change anyone. :) I'm happy and that's what matters. :) Just wanted to share.aww

I think it's great FOY!  I have belly pierced a couple of years ago.  Why not?  I still have great abs, and at my age I love showing them off.  I have a tattoo on the side of my right leg below my knee.  And it is a rather large one.  So, of course, I say, "Go for it!"

I look at it this way:  My body is definitely identifiable.   LOL!!

I sometimes use a little stick-on rhinestone on the side of my nose.   But never have had the nerve to have nose pierced.  And my tongue???  Fagetaboutit!!

It's all fun, and I am glad you did what you wanted to do.  Who cares what the A thinks?

I have always loved piercings, but I stuck to my head :D . I had a nose fob that looked great, but my nose cartilage was too sensitive even for gold so I had to pull it . . . I was heartbroken. I think I must have six or seven holes in my right ear.

I like tatoos also and finally got just one, a rose, on my right shoulder. Diva, those leg tatoos are exquisitely painful! I went for moral support with a friend to get a "bracelet" around her ankle. We only made it halfway :) she just couldn't handle it.

Ok then, probably NO WAY on the tatoo then. I can handle a one second pinch but not needles a hundred times in one spot.... Ouch.
Its really nice to have support from you. Thanks. I feel stronger now and better for standing my ground. Yea me!
I'm off to bed, I am so tired. Love ya'll.

I got a tatt on the side of my leg, above my ankle, last year for our anniversary.  It is "Love Conquers All" in Latin with our zodiac signs (pisces and aquarious.
Last Feb. ah and I were not speaking, and a friend was going to have another tatt, so I went with her....and I got another one.  AH didn't notice it for 2 months!  It is big, about 2", a Celtic shamrock (my birthday is St. Patrick's Day and I am Irish on my Grandmother's side.)
One night we were in the hot tub, and ah asked if that was a temporary tattoo on my shoulder.  Uh, no.  How long have I had it...2 months.  He got mad and got out of the hottub and didn't speak to me for a few more days.
But, I'm with you.  I know he has a disease, but I have begged, pleaded, cried, threatened, talked, not talked.....all the insane things.  The thing is, what I want or think is not important to him, at least not as important as the beer.
Yeah, we have a right to do what is right for us, it isn't hurting anyone (except ourselves, millions of needle pricks!)
For me, it was a good kind of pain, kind of like childbirth.  The pain inside me was transferred to the outside, and I got a beautiful tattoo as a result.
Love in Recovery,
Becky1
