Yesterday, 9/3 was my Al-Anon Birthday. I have been on this path of recovery for 4 yrs.
Wow - what an amazing path my HP has brought me thru. What original brought me to the rooms of Al-Anon was seeking a cure for the pain - what I have found is a beautiful new way of life.
The circumstances around me have not always been great - life is LIFE and that is not always a pretty thing. But I am grateful for the inner peace that comes from knowing that with the spiritual guidance of my HP, I have the tools to overcome whatever may come my way.
I am so grateful that I was encouraged to "Keep coming back, it works if you work it" and "don't give up before the miracles happen - in YOU"
This helped me to keep coming back even when it didn't feel like my recovery was growing at all.
As I have said before, there is not enough room on the internet to list all the blessings that I have received from recovery - some that deserve special attention are the wonderful ladies that I get to work with in recovery, my relationship with my HP, my relationship with my family of origin and my recovery family - I am blessed to be a part of these wonderful people's lives.
I pray that each of you are able to live Happy, Joyous & Free - One Day at a Time,

Thank you for sharing some of the Alanon promises that have come to fruition in your life working this program. It's because of people sharing their recovery journeys and E,S, and H that I keep coming back and keep working it.
I once thought the miracle would be in my AH; which he is having some miracles these days but now I really see that its the miracles in me and my life that I was waiting for all along. Thanks to this program, HP, and wonderful recovery friends like yourself I have grown to understand that.
