My HP has a twisted sense of humor.

Ok let me paint the picture for ya.....
The Dr that ah works for is cheap and tight. (you couldn't pull a needle out of his butt with a tractor trailor) aww So we have just enough money to pay the mortgage (which is so high I'm afraid to share the amount with ya) and enough to just pay the bills right. So I applied for govt assistance to get me through until one of my substitute jobs comes through.
I got denied and they told me since ah wasn't in the house that I HAD to file for child support. I explained that he paid all the bills and I live in "his" house (it's in his name only) So they are making me go after him, which I hate.confused
So since I was denied and the lady at the Dept. of children and families was so RUDE on the phone ...... I said to my friend that they despretley (sp) needed people there with a heart and a concern.
So guess what I did??????????? LMAO.............
I went to the state job site and there it was!!! A job as an interviewer for the Dept of Children and Families! So for sh*ts and giggles I put in my resume. They called me the next day and asked me to come in for an interview on Tuesday. The lady talked as if I was her lucky star and she was desperate. (it's probably a horrible job...thus the attitudeweirdface)  ROFL It cracked me up. If ya can't beat em, join em'.
I guess change will start with me huh?
I haven't figured out how I will afford daycare to work ($150) for daycare a week but I am going to give it a shot. I won't know till I try right?
They will pay me one way or another! :) So wish me luck and LOTS of money. I would love to work and have adult interaction.biggrin

I'll wave my magic job wand over you.biggrin Just hand it over to HP like i did and you will be suprised at the outcome. I'll put in a good word for ya too (dunno how much pull i have lol) but every little bit helps. Good luck and I pray that all goes well. With the daycare situation.. It will all work out if it was meant to be.

Take care and keep us updated.
Yours in recovery

(((FOY)))

That is too funny!! I laughed out loud when I read your post. Maybe this will be a way of looking at things from the other side. Have you tried getting daycare assistance? I know where I live you can get assistance depending upon your income. Keep the faith!

Okay, that really IS too funny...maybe since you will be working for the state (with great benefits? - I work for the state, also), they might have their own daycare centers for employees?  Just a thought!
Good for you - be the employee with heart and compassion!  Maybe this is how your HP is allowing you to give back, but you're right - that is one funky sense of humor!
Take care,
Marion

This is too funny!!

I always thought our HP had a sense of humor with having men and women live together as a marriad couple, even before or without A.  The ole' mars/venus connection -

Best wishes with the job opportunity and some day care options too.
Praise HP!!

hugs from ddub

this is excellent, I laughed so much when I read it, as I am having dreadful difficulties with grant monies and it would be amazing if I was called for an interview, you take it, I know you could make a real difference to that job, a human voice, hps putting you there for a reason

TOO funny!!! Now you'll know what benefits you qualify for and how to work it. I bet you can get daycare assistance. Just don't count your husband's income, I don't think they make you go after child support for daycare. I just did it and there was no talk of support. Anyway, you'll learn all the tricks and stuff they have but don't give out unless you know about it. They have tons of programs they don't tell anyone about you have to go and ask for it. Good luck!

That is too funny! Good luck! Maybe it won't be such a horrible job. I'm freaking out about childcare myself. I won't have to start paying until next year, but still!
