Had another surgery

Hi Alanoners,

I had shoulder surgery two weeks ago. Went in for my check-up and the screw had slipped and went in last week for another surgery. Pain again. Has set me back at work adn life itself. There but for the grace of god friends and family had stepped up to help me. My Ahsober finally showed up to help but it turns out that my sister-in-law called him to help. When I went under the anesthesia it came to me to forgive him because he really doesn't have it in his make-up to care. He is an emotional cripple.

So this is hard and humbly. Not being able to take care of myself. And not feeling well. But I realize how fortunate I am considering what others have to go through. Tahnks to this progra,m I believe that I am making progress.

Thanks for your support,
Nancy

Not being able to take care of self is a humbling experience, indeed! I had major surgery last December and the youngest daughter, age 18, was in charge of the house, plus getting herself to school for a week! She did good.

I hope your recovery is smooth and complete!

Sending healing prayers.  I am so glad that you are getting help from family during your recovery.  Take good care.

I hope this is it for you Nancy, and that you'll just continue to heal without further complications.

And isn't it amazing how HP provides the help we need. I remember going through oral surgery, and I was just "out of it" and had a swollen face for a few days . . . but it was when I got my first glimpse of how my A would continue to handle illness or personal crisis on my part. He was a screaming wreck, literally. Later he said it was scary to see me so out of it and bruised up. Good grief, like that made sense.

I'm glad you are back home and on the mend. Lots of water and protein to rebuild those tissues!! I'm sure you already got the lecture :D .

BTW you type pretty well with one hand!

Easy does it! Kim

((((((((Nancy)))))))),

Aww...sorry you had to go through more surgery.  But I am so glad you have good family and friends around to help you.  You are quite the woman you know.  Be extra good to yourself.  Stay safe and well.  If you need an extra body to come help you, I'll volunteer!  You're right, some people are just emotional cripples and can do barely more than take care of themselves.  That's some insight.  Keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

I am so sorry to hear of another surgery. Another way I would look at it is its now over and your can resume your healing in all ways sun.gif

It was very hard for me to accept help from others; it was always easier for me to be the helper. I do believe that HP sent you what you needed.
Easy Does It and
please be gentle with you.
