Need to turn it over

I need to vent. Have just returned from an arduous trip buying a car, that went fairly well. On my return, I was informed that the centre that I volunarily manage was trashed by the weekend staff. It was in such a state that the fas worker Eugene thought the place had been broken into. I dealt with it, let go the weekend staff in a fairly sensitive way, though to say I am angry is beyond belief. I think it could have been a lot worse, there is one million stained glass window in the building and it survived! 2 boisterous seventeen years old could have done worse. What annoyed me was that I was not informed until Friday. I could have dealt with it on tuesday and have emailed by displeasure at not being informed in a timely fashion. In addition ex-a is ill, very dehydrated and its tough to see him in this condition. I have come to the realisation that alcoholism is a disease, that took me a long long time. I am grateful for this board as I know I would have reacted badly to yesterday without it, and though I was irritated, I kept it in proportion and did not take the responsibility that was not mine to take, though I still would like to throttle the weekend staff member.

golly gee,
one of my fav letting go techniques..
draw me a bath, or to get a sock
(cotton) filled with bathing beads
if there is only a shower and get
in to relax and let go. There are some
herb teas already in lil baggie bags
I can wrap in that sock as well and
2 just let go - its unfortunate re the
ex - that this is a disease is a curiousity,
and if the vandal acts were not considered
by the deed doer and has no resolve to
fix their tracks, that person would simply
be looking for a new position somewhere's
else, as in fired.
warm regards
getoverit
rose pedals work well in a sock, if u r
not allergic to such.. do something good
4 u, eh..?

isn't anger very demanding? i find it so.  it can be exhausting, but as my sponsor told me, anger tells us when our boundaries have been violated. and it sounds like yours have!  the trick now is to keep perspective, i find when my anger is triggered a whole lot of other stuff comes up - self criticism, blaming, justifying etc. its because i feel so uncomfortable with the emotion and i'm basically afraid of it. i admire your clarity on the issues and you seem to have taken the necessary practical steps.... any way solidarity!  sounds to me like you are handing it over....

I am extremely proud of you. I would have lost it for sure. In any case, good for you!
