UPDATE: Great News Everyone!!!

Hey Everyone - I don't know how many prayers went out for me yesterday but it worked!!!  I called my credit card company this morning and they WERE able to CANCEL the balance transfer I made Monday Night.  I am FREE of that debt now.  AND I AM THE WISER FOR THE EXPERIENCE!!! Now I will have to do a follow up tomorrow to verify that it was cancelled. This morning when I called, they said done deal.

I tell you though, I would love to get back at those women at that collection agency. I would love to call them and tell them they are being sued, that they acted illegally and immorally. But I reckon the best revenge is really in preventing them from getting that money. Therefore the nasty women on the phone won't be collecting their commission. Maybe they went out after work that day and spent all kinds of money in celebration of their commission. And now they won't be getting it. LOL. Right back at them. Ha. I just don't understand how people in that line of work can sleep at night. Unbelievable.

Thanks again to all of you for all of the wonderful support. Y'all are awesome. :)

Fortunately I have never had to deal with a collection agency, but I know those who have,  and I do know one thing;  the trashiest of the trashy work for collections agencies.  Those people will stop at nothing and they do not care about circumstances.  Nasty, filthy crowd of low life.

Glad it all worked out for you. I have a friend who worked for an agency, and they left because she couldn't stand being mean to another person. I remember when A went into rehab and an agency found him from years ago. I told them he was in ICU and they wanted me to hold the phone up to him! I know here in NY you have the legal right to tell them not to call you and harass you and they must abide by it whether it is at work or home. You have the right to have them only comminucate with you by mail if you wish. If they don't they can be reported. Hopefully there are more laws like that.
