Buddist thought for the day

We usu. call this "martyrdom," "self-victimization," or "manipulative deviance"

"He insulted me, he hurt me, he defeated me, he robbed me."
Those who think such things will not be free from hate.

Absolutely....it is just where I am right now. Trying to let go of the self victim....knowing that what happened between me and the A was painful, but also loving.....and I need to let go of the judgement around it. Perhaps say... it was hurtful...instead of he hurt me. Detachment? Thanks for the positive thought!

Thanks for that Tiger

It occurred to me that when we say things like ''He insulted me, he hurt me'' we are giving our power away and brings to mind one of our daily readings which, in simplicity, says ''offence is taken, not given''. Even if offence is intended, if I do not 'take' it then it has no power to hurt me.
Just my tuppence ha'penny.
