Continue your recovery

From some of the Buddist texts. Continue your recovery, even if those you love continue in self destruction (something I am reminding myself alot lately...)

Live in joy,
In love,
Even among those who hate.

Live in joy,
In health,
Even among the afflicted.

Live in joy,
In peace,
Even among the troubled.

Look within.
Be still.
Free from fear and attachment,
Know the sweet joy of the way.

-from the Dhammapada

Absolutely....this is our birthrite....this is possible.....this is a choice even in the midst of the chaos of our addiction ridden lives. I choose love over and over.....my A calls me bi polar as I am able to do it in the midst of an argument...I think he is full of it! Compassion can be felt at any moment....a connection to life all around us is bigger than us and our momentary problems......this brings inner peace and strength.....that I have found my self able to do in in the midst of his turmoil and abusiveness is a beautiful thing! And hopefull! Thaks you for this post! Fifi
