scared!

My daughter was camping out with friends, and they were all partying. She's 19 and another 18. Her other frined who is 17 over-dosed on cold medicine and is in a coma. His girl friend is only 15, so my daughter and the 18 were told taht they may be charged with endangering the wellfair of a minor.  She"s going to the hospital now! pPease everyone pray for this 17 year old kid, who has struggled with addiction for a few years, I hope he lives and they all learn a hard lesson. I'm sick to my stomach over this. I hate addiction!

YIKES!  This could go really bad for all concerned.  I do hope and pray the 17 yo recovers well.  Might be time to talk to an attorney.

Best6 wishes,

Diva

I can empathise with the sick to the stomach issue. I have just been through my own roller coaster with an A. I was sick to my stomach for months knowing he was "at risk". I do know it got better for me. When people told me that it would get better I did not believe them. I have to say it cannot be awful for ever. I did take lots and lots of actions. One of them was to come here and talk about how I felt often. I think that helps. I also was pretty careful about my actions. I still am.

At the time I got pretty angry at the A for his actions. I let out a lot of that anger here and worked on what my options were they were pretty limited.

That's sad and sadly very common. The child is in my prayers. I hope your daughter stays away from this mess. Good luck ^i^

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. It is so sad what kids do these days to get high.

And I am also baffled at how anyone can be charged with endangering a minor when the minor drank cold medicine on his own accord. Now I can see it if it was a parent who left a bottle of cold med sitting out for a young child to get a hold of but not this situation. I would check it out with a lawyer of some sort.

Sincerely,
QOD

just talked to my daughter, and she says it doesn't look good. The charge of endangering a minnor is because the boy who over-dosed, his girl friend is only 15.  My daughter and friends picked them up and they all went to camp out, knowing he had caugh medicine, the 15 year old is fine, not sure if she took some, but she was there and under 16.  I think I may have a nervous breakdown.

Sorry to hear about this situation.  In moments like these it helps me to try and calm down by saying the serenity prayer and turn it over to God as well as talking it out with healthy people.  I hope the boy pulls through and hope that lessons can be learned by all involved.  God bless you - will be praying for you as well.

(((((((gimmpy))))) I hope all goes well for you and yours, and especially the one who is in a coma. Omg what a terrible thing to happen, my heart goes out to that "child" and his parents and family.
